What We Do
Pricing
5%–7%
Our dispatch fee is flexible and discussed with each carrier during onboarding. Your final rate is agreed upon before dispatch services begin, so you know exactly what you’ll pay — with no hidden fees or surprises.
Get StartedAdditional compensation such as detention, layover, TONU, fuel surcharge, or other accessorial charges will be handled according to the signed dispatch service agreement.
The carrier and Josh Dispatching will mutually agree on a dispatch fee between 5% and 7% before dispatch services begin. The agreed percentage will be documented during onboarding or in the dispatch service agreement.
How It Works
The carrier submits contact and company information: full name, phone number, email address, trucking company name, MC number, DOT number, equipment type, number of trucks, and home city and state.
Submitting this information does not mean dispatching has started.
Josh Dispatching reviews the submitted information and contacts the carrier by phone, text, or email to confirm carrier identity and contact information, MC number, DOT number, equipment type, preferred lanes, areas to avoid, rate preferences, home-time preferences, and any other dispatch requirements.
Josh Dispatching will contact the carrier and complete the onboarding process before searching for or booking loads on the carrier's behalf.
Before dispatching begins, the carrier must complete any required onboarding documents and authorize Josh Dispatching to provide dispatch services on their behalf.
Josh Dispatching does not begin dispatching simply because someone submitted the website form.
After onboarding and authorization are complete, Josh Dispatching searches for freight based on the carrier's equipment, preferred lanes, availability, and rate preferences, and may communicate and negotiate with brokers on behalf of the authorized motor carrier.
The motor carrier makes the final decision on every load. Josh Dispatching does not book or confirm a load unless the carrier has authorized the dispatch relationship and the load meets the carrier's instructions or has been approved by the carrier.

About
Josh Dispatching helps independent owner-operators and small fleets spend less time searching for freight, communicating with brokers, negotiating rates, and handling dispatch paperwork. We specialize in Step Deck, Flatbed, and Dry Van dispatching and work directly with each carrier to understand their equipment, lanes, rate preferences, and operating goals before dispatching begins.
Josh Dispatching is an independent dispatch service and is not a motor carrier or a broker. Each motor carrier maintains full control of its own MC and DOT operating authority, and we work only after authorization from the carrier.

Contact
New carriers must complete our contact and onboarding process before dispatching begins.
